At Encelia Hair, our mission is to help make your wig like a total breeze! For many of you, this will be your first time wearing hair, which is exciting but also overwhelming! Like anything, the "tools" you use can make your wig life easy or difficult. Below is our curated list of "must have" wig items. Some of these you'll want to order ASAP! ❤  

TOOLS FOR SUCCESS

1. PETITE RUBBER MANNEQUIN HEAD 
   • What we like to call home base, this mannequin is petite, so it won't stretch out your wig; the rubber base allows you to easily secure your wig in place with sewing pins, and the hairline outline will help you "set" your wig while also maintaining the "dome-like" shape of the head
2. CLAMP OR TRIPOD
   • Clamp is ideal for low maintenance wig wearers
   • Tripod is ideal for human hair wigs or for wig wearers who like to style the hair. 
3. SEWING PINS
   • Unlike t-pins, sewing pins won't pull the hair when you brush your wig.
4. WET BRUSH 
   • The Flexible design of this brush will help you quickly and gently brush your wig without pulling on the hair and knots, which can cause shedding.
5. TEASING BRUSH - makes it easy to redirect the knots/hair so "setting" you wig will be a breeze!
6. HAIR CARE PRODUCTS
   • HUMAN HAIR CARE PRODUCTS
     • Goldwell Rich Repair or Milbon's Moisture line - high moisture shampoo and conditioner that  adds moisture back into the hair.
     • Oil - We like argan oil or Kerasilk Brilliance oil by Goldwell because they have a nice subtle scent, they are lightweight so it won't weigh the hair down
     • Kendra blow dry spray - nice great and doesn't cause build up
   • LUXURY SYNTHETIC CARE PRODUCTS
     • Lightweight Shampoo and Conditioner's are best, we like:
       • Marie Nila Softening
       • Redken All Soft
       • Redken Volume Injection

     • Continuous spray water bottle
     • Flat iron - ideal temperatures for our Luxury synthetic hair are 285-305 degrees Fahrenheit or 140-150 Celsius. We are obsessed with the L'Oreal steam pod, but you must work fast, see tutorial here. 
     • CURLING IRON - ideal temperatures for our Luxury synthetic hair are 285-305 degrees Fahrenheit or 140-150 Celsius. 
       • Beachy Waves (loose & bouncy)use a 1.5" - 2" size barrel
       • Glamorous Curls (wavy & curly) use a 1.25"-1" size barrel
       • Tight curls use a 3/4"-3/8" size barrel
   • HEAT-FRIENDLY CARE PRODUCTS
     • Jon Renau's Synthetic Care Travel Kit
     • Flat Iron and Curling Iron - ideal temperatures for our heat-friendly hair are 280-300 degrees Fahrenheit or 137-149 Celsius
       • Beachy Waves (loose & bouncy)use a 1.5" - 2" size barrel
       • Glamorous Curls (wavy & curly) use a 1.25"-1" size barrel
       • Tight curls use a 3/4"-3/8" size barrel
